About

Dr Hermine Graham is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Lecturer; she has led in the development and evaluation of an integrated treatment and service model for people with severe mental health problems who misuse alcohol and drugs, in Birmingham. This service model has been highlighted as a model of good practice by the Department of Health. She has published articles within this area and provides national and international consultancy on service and policy developments for this client group. She works clinically with people with severe mental health problems in an assertive outreach setting in the community. She has an emerging interest in cannabis use among young people.

BSc(Hons.) Psychology; ClinPsyD; Post graduate diploma in Cognitive Therapy.

Research Interests 
 Dr Graham’s clinical and research interests include cannabis use and binge drinking among young people, cognitive understandings of the relationship between substance use and psychosis, the application of Cognitive Therapy to this client group and Psychological interventions in Assertive Outreach settings.
