Writing the History of the Jews of Poland and RussiaAntony Polonsky is a world leading expert on the history of Eastern Europe and Jewish history in particular. His prolific bibliography includes a masterful 3 volume History of the Jews in Russia and Poland I-III (Oxford: Littman, 2009-2012). Professor. Polonsky’s immense contribution to scholarship has been marked with numerous distinguished awards including the Officer’s Cross and Order of Merit of the governments of Independent Lithuania and Poland respectively.
