A lecture by Dr Elaine Fulton

Elaine Fulton is Senior Lecturer in Early-Modern European History in the Department of History, University of Birmingham. She studied as an undergraduate and postgraduate at the University of St Andrews, moving to the University of Birmingham in 2003. Elaine helped found the Catholic Reformation Research Network, and she was made a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society in 2008. Her publications include Catholic Belief and Survival in late-Sixteenth Century Vienna (Ashgate, 2007); (co-edited with Maria Cracium), Communities of Devotion: Religious Orders and Society in East Central Europe 1450-1800 (Ashgate, 2011), and (co-edited with Helen Parish and Peter Webster), The Search for Authority in the Reformation (Ashgate, January 2014).
