The Cadbury Lectures are annual and prestigious public lectures. The lectures usually last an hour followed by discussion. David Urquhart and Bernard Longley, the Anglican and Roman Catholic bishops of Birmingham, jointly gave five lectures on the theme of Parables for the City. The Chancellor and Vice Chancellor opened and chaired the lectures.
