The theme for the 2012 Cadbury Lectures series was Seeing and Believing in Modern Christianity and consisted of three distinct but related events.
- A series of six lectures by Professor David Morgan of Duke University, USA on “Seeing and Believing in Modern Christianity” (6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15 March)
- A public lecture on 16 March by Dr Rowan Williams, the then Archbishop of Canterbury on “Idols, Images and Icons”
- Four workshops by international artists on “The Cross-cultural in Religious Art” by Ding Fang (China), Chan Yuanping (Hong Kong), Benoit Vermander (China/France), Caroline MacKenzie (UK/India) and Liz Hingley (UK)
