What is the Public Service Academy?

PSA-Progress-front-coverThe PSA brings together the public service expertise of the College of Social Sciences (CoSS) and wider University.  The PSA seeks to maximise the impact of the UoB’s work with public services by identifying and co-ordinating research and consultancy opportunities, making connections, facilitating collaborative networks and building new relationships.  It supports colleagues to develop relationships with elected representatives, public service officers and others involved in shaping and delivering public services regionally, nationally and internationally.

PSA currently works with colleagues across the University including INLOGOV, City-REDI, Education, HSMC, Social Policy, Institute for Research into Superdiversity (IRIS), Accounting, Third Sector Research Centre, Centre for Research in Race and Education, and Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences.  The PSA has also developed strong international collaborations with key partners at the University of Illinois-Chicago and the University of Melbourne.
