IASS academic takes to the airwaves

Dr Chris Allen, a Research Fellow in the Institute of Applied Social Studies, School of Social Policy, has been invited to the BBC's Politics Show on Sunday 30 January to talk about his research on Islamophobia.

For the past decade Chris has been at the forefront of academic research into the phenomenon of Islamophobia, and has worked closely with a number of different partners and institutions including the House of Lords Select Committee on Religious Offences, the All Party Parliamentary Group on Islamophobia and Anti-Muslim Hate Crime, the Centre for European Policy Studies in Europe and the Greater London Authority, amongst others.

In 2010, Ashgate published Chris Allen's monograph entitled 'Islamophobia' (available from www.islamophobiabook.com).
