As part of the University of Birmingham's Community Day on Sunday 10 June 2012, the Social Work Department, Institute of Applied Social Studies are hosting a 'Survivor Performance Arts and Exhibition' in the Muirhead Tower from 11 am until 4 pm.
The Survivor Arts Project showcases the diverse creativity and ability of survivor artists.
You are invited to view the Survivor Arts Exhibition anytime between 11 am and 4 pm on the 7th and 2nd floors of the Muirhead Tower (Muirhead Tower is R21 on the campus map).
Survivor performance - The Order of Disorder
The survivor performance art will take place in room 714/5 on the 7th floor of the Muirhead Tower between 12.30 and 2.30 pm. The Order of Disorder by Louise Stokes is 'A woman's attempts to examine her eating difficulties and explore the possible reasons behind her illness, using stylised theatre with a poetical thread and stark humour.'
Social work academics and students will be available alongside survivor artists to answer questions about Social Work and Survivor Arts at the University of Birmingham.
