PSA Employability event

Public Service Academy (PSA) Employability eventDawn River, Social Work Lecturer and Admissions Tutor and Adam Birchall, University of Birmingham social work graduate and Children and Families Social Worker, contributed to the Public Services Academy (PSA) Employability Event held on 6th February 2013.

The PSA was established by the College of Social Sciences at the University of Birmingham as part of its commitment to civic engagement and as such aims to provides a platform for strategic interaction with a range of national and international public service partners. Its two primary aims are:

  • To act as a focal point for research and academic activity
  • To provide a 'front door' to those interested in public service and to work on cementing realtionships with key public service partners (including Birmignham City Council).

Public Service Academy (PSA) employability eventThe event offered a space for undergraduate social science students to explore a range of employment opportunities, including the opportunity to consider studying at MA level for a professional qualification and subsequent career in social work.
