Yoshinobu Kikuchi, Visiting Fellow

A Visiting Fellow from Japan, Yoshinobu Kikuchi will visit TSRC for six months from June to work with Professor David Mullins on the Empty Homes projects in England. This includes:

  •  Empty homes initiatives
  • Self-help housing projects
  • Community-based housing projects
  • Housing based social enterprises
  • Partnership of private sector and public sector

Yoshinobu Kikuchi has been based at University of Fukui, Japan and his research interest includes sustainability of living environment and local characteristics of housing situation. He is researching the way of effective use of existing houses in Japan. The focus of his study in England will be to explore the examples of improvement and effective use of empty homes undertaking some case studies.
