New research on housing and communities

Posted on Tuesday 5th March 2013

David Mullins and Halima Sacranie are undertaking a study of self help housing projects in the Midlands, funded by the Building and Social Housing Foundation. This is the first stage of an evaluation of the Empty Homes Community Grants Programme under which 95 community led projects have been allocated £30million to bring empty homes into use. The study will seek to understand the impact of this programme on the self help housing sector and to assess the social value that self help housing projects generate.

David Mullins and Halima Sacranie are also beginning a study for Midland Heart looking at ‘Engaging staff through innovative communications’. This work is being supported by Midland Heart and by a Business Engagement Innovation Voucher.
