IASS academics attend International Sociological Association conference

Four current researchers from IASS attended the 'International Sociological Association' conference in Amsterdam recently on the theme of 'At Home in the Housing Market'. It was organised by Richard Ronald, Centre for Urban Studies, University of Amsterdam, who joins IASS from September 2013.

IASS was represented by Karen Rowlingson who chaired a panel on 'Life Course Perspectives: Housing in an ageing society'. Karen Rowlingson, Ricky Joseph and Louise Overton presented a paper on the 'Generation Game: Financial transfers within families in the UK'. David Mullins contributed a paper on 'Benefits and Limits to Hybrid Models of Housing' to a panel on Social Housing Organisations and the Crisis, chaired by Rachel Bratt of Tufts Unity, Boston in the USA.
