David Mullins is working with Peter Shanks from the University of Ulster on a new project 'Independent Review of Housing Association Governing Arrangements, Northern Ireland'.
This project is co-funded by a consortium of housing associations and a number of management consultancies. It will work closely with the Northern Ireland Federation of Housing Associations (NIFHA). The research is of direct relevance to the delivery and effectiveness of social housing provision and management in Northern Ireland.
Corporate governance tends to feature prominently in housing debates at present. It will include surveys of chief executives and board members, expert interviews, case studies and will use the research findings to produce a series of short issue papers for discussion at forum events convened with NIFHA and the funding partners on the themes who governs, how we govern, what we govern and where we go next.
