Collaboration between NHS organisations underpins the sustainability and transformation partnerships and the new models of care set out in the Five year forward view for the NHS in England. It also builds on the experience of initiatives that have been tried over the past decade, ranging from new forms of organisational links (eg buddying and franchises) to building networks and communities of practitioners to help improve health service delivery.

Our knowledge of what makes for successful partnerships between providers at an organisational level is though surprisingly limited. This event will share learning from a national research project undertaken by the Health Services Management Centre and commissioned by the Health Foundation. It will include summary of findings by the research team, reflections from the Health Foundation leads on wider learning for policy and practice, and presentations from case study organisations on their direct experiences of leading partnerships.

Date: Friday 6th October 2017 10am to 1pm (registration from 9.30)
Venue: Health Foundation 90 Long Acre London WC2E 9RA
