Debating reform at primary care conference

Posted on Wednesday 27th October 2010

Professor Jon Glasby was one of four plenary panellists helping to close the recent 2010 National Association of Primary Care conference.  Speaking alongside Nigel Edwards of the NHS Confederation, Dr Paul Charlson of the Conservative Medical Society and 2020 health's Julia Manning, Jon debated a range of issues.  These included the impact of NHS reform, rising demand, the role of the independent sector, the implications of reductions in management costs and relationships between health and social care.  Jon was specifically asked by organisers to lead debate around the future of the latter.
