Posted on Saturday 23rd October 2010

The department is delighted to welcome its new intake of students at the start of this autumn term.  Forty-seven new students, including 33 home and 14 overseas students began a range of Masters Programmes with a four-day introductory module covering research and study skills.  This new module is designed to give students a firm footing in the skills they will require throughout their course of study.

HSMC also welcomes 27 new students on a bespoke MSc in Commissioning, commissioned through CSL (Commissioning Services for London).

In addition, congratulations go to Emilie Whittaker who has been awarded a PhD Studentship with the department.  Emilie starts work on her thesis this autumn, the focus of which is personalisation in children's services.
