RCN boss discusses Leadership in Challenging Times

HSMC's Director, Jon Glasby, recently chaired a talk on 'Leadership in Challenging Times' delivered by Dr Peter Carter OBE, General Secretary and Chief Executive of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) and a former student at the University of Birmingham. Before taking on the role at the RCN in 2007, Peter spent almost 12 years as Chief Executive of the Central and North West London Mental Health NHS Trust - one of the largest mental health trusts in the UK.

A graduate and member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel, Peter also has an MBA in public Service Administration and a PhD, both from the University of Birmingham. He was awarded an OBE for services to the NHS in 2006.
