Graphic recording from the INVOLVE event, part of the ESRC's Festival of Social ScienceOn 3 November 2011, colleagues from HSMC, Birmingham University's Institute of Applied Social Studies Social Work Department and the national organisational INVOLVE, hosted a public event, as part of the ESRC's Festival of Social Science. The event explored the opportunities, practicalities and impact of involving older people in health and social care research. A key part of the event was sharing the experiences of academics and older 'co-researchers' who had worked together on a research project looking at the issue of care transitions. It was attended by almost 50 people from NHS and social care agencies, voluntary sector organisations, universities and members of older people's groups. The lively and informative discussions were captured in a graphic recording (see image above).
