A new national guide, on supporting diverse and inclusive public involvement in research, features a participatory research study carried out by colleagues across HSMC and IASS as an example of good practice. The guide is published by INVOLVE, and provides information and ideas to engage more seldom heard groups in health and social care research.
The HSMC/IASS study explored older people's experiences of care transitions, with academics working in partnership with 22 older people as 'co-researchers'. The study co-researchers included older people who have dementia and older people from black and minority ethnic groups.
The guide can be found at the INVOLVE website.
