"A leading obstetrician once said that at age twenty five a woman was an “elderly primip”. For personal, social and economic reasons, women may now view this differently. Clearly this is a subject that needs to be looked at afresh."

Nicola GaleHSMC academic Dr Nicola Gale, will be taking part in the annual Lawson Tait Lecture at the BMI on Thursday 14 November on 'What is the best age to start a family?'. Nicola will be speaking from the sociological perspective and Professor Geraldine Hartshorne from Warwick University will be speaking from the obstetric perspective.
