The scheme is a comprehensive education training programme that aims to equip graduates with the expertise to become successful leaders in the NHS. Challenging work placements, complemented by professional development enable graduates to develop the skills and confidence required to lead in the NHS.

As the leading UK centre for research, teaching, consultancy and professional development for health and social care services, HSMC have been successfully tendering for the programme for over 13 years and are well placed to deliver expert leadership training and development.

Jon Glasby, Director of the Health Services Management Centre, said that “We are delighted that the NHS graduate management training scheme has been recognised once again as one of the most prestigious development programmes in the country. In addition to our involvement in the new NHS Leadership Academy programmes, we are extremely proud of our association with the NHS and our delivery of the graduate management training scheme”.
