Celebrating social work at Birmingham

100 Years of Social Work 1908-2008HSMC is a leading UK centre for research, teaching and consultancy in both health and social care.  However, few people know that the University of Birmingham runs the oldest social work programme in the country, having been training social workers ever since 1908.
