2nd Public Service Academy Speed Networking Employability Event - 26 February 2014

Government Workshop with Baroness Warsi

Description
Students from the 'Doing of Not Doing God: religion, policy and politics' third year Social Policy undergraduate module were given the opportunity to meet and hear Baroness Sayeeda Warsi speak about the role and relevance of different religious communities in the city of Birmingham.

Graduate Internship: Amy Davenport, Health Exchange (2014)

Description
Amy studied BA Social Policy and graduated in 2013. Whilst she was studying she also made the most of her time by working for her department and the university in a number of different capabilities. This ranged from supporting staff at open days and applicant visit days, leading tours and working for the marketing department, encouraging potential students to apply to UoB.

What service integration looks like from Melbourne

One student's experience of travelling from the University of Melbourne to undertake a five-day intensive public management subject as part of her master's degree. Over the course of the week, she felt incredibly fortunate to hear from an amazing array of guest speakers from the Health Services Management Centre and the Institute of Local Government Studies at the University of Birmingham, as well as Birmingham City Council.
