The National Student Survey (NSS) has awarded the University of Birmingham an overall satisfaction mark of 89%, up from 88% for the past two years and a rise of five places among Russell Group institutions.

Global ranking reinforces Birmingham's position as a world-class university

The University of Birmingham has made an impressive 15 place rise to 62nd in this year's QS World University Rankings, cementing its position in the top 100 universities globally and placing it 10th in the UK.

National and international experts discuss citizen involvement in health and social care decision making

Description
On June 4th leaders from across the NHS and Local Government attended an HSMC/Public Service Academy (PSA) event focussing on the challenges of involving citizens in a time of public sector austerity. Attendees heard presentations from Dr Marion Danis from the National Institutes of Health at the US Department of Health and Human Services, Professor Derek Bolton from Citizens UK and Mr Saidul Haque from Birmingham Citizens.
