Race, class and conflict

Since the hideous atrocities committed in Woolwich last week, the number of anti-Muslim incidents - verbal and physical abuse, vandalising and defacing mosques for instance - reported to the Government-funded Tell MAMA (Measuring Anti-Muslim Attacks www.tellmama.org) have risen sharply from around 4-5 per day to almost 50 in the same amount of time.
