The Birmingham Social Work Academy will be hosting the next of its Masterclass events on Tuesday 15 January 2013 from 4.30 to 6.00 pm at Park House.

Donald Forrester, Professor of Social Work Research at the University of Bedfordshire, where he is Director of The Goldberg Research Centre, will be leading this event. The Goldberg Centre was set up to address the relative lack of empirical research to guide policy and practice in social work by developing excellent research and supporting the user of evidence-based approaches in practice. Professor Forrester has carried out many studies of social work practice with children and families, using highly innovative research methods.
