Bursaries for MSc Advanced Manipulative Physiotherapy including placement in elite sport

English Institute of SportThe University of Birmingham and the English Institute of Sport  are looking to offer two chartered physiotherapists an exciting opportunity.

We are looking for dynamic, self-motivated physiotherapists, striving for clinical excellence who are interested in moving into sport, to undertake a full-time MSc combined with one day a week placement with a world class sports science and medicine team.

The MSc in Advanced Manipulative Physiotherapy focused to sport and leading to membership of the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP) will commence in September 2017. Completion will take 13-15 months, being dependent on the successful candidates’ commitments.  The English Institute of Sport will provide a £4500 contribution towards the course fees.  Additionally, within the swimming placement, some funding will be available to assist with travel costs to Bath.

Placement Experiences: English Institute of Sport

British Swimming (BS): It is anticipated that one successful candidate would be placed alongside the British Swimming Sports Science and Medicine Team and will normally be based at the EIS Bath HPC; however the EIS may also require you to travel to other sites.  

Paralympic Sport: It is anticipated that one successful candidate would be placed alongside English Institute of Sport Physiotherapists across several Paralympic sports located at various EIS sites.
