PhD Title: Effects of dietary supplements on health and exercise performance

Adrian Hodgson is a doctoral researcher in the area of exercise metabolism, specifically investigating the effect dietary supplements on health and exercise performance. He is an enthusiastic sportsman, specialising in both rugby and triathlon.

Biography

Adrian Hodgson completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Birmingham, studying Sport and Exercise Sciences. During his time at the school he worked closely with Asker Jeukendrup and completed a number of carbohydrate metabolism studies. He started his PhD in 2009 following on from his previous work, specifically looking at dietary supplements on human health and exercise performance.
