Sarah has worked for the University for over 10 years in a variety of roles, including several years as the Undergraduate Administrator and Examinations Co-ordinator in the School of Psychology. Whilst working for Academic Services, Sarah has held posts as a Student Conduct and Appeals Officer, the University Plagiarism Officer, and has been a member of the Academic Policy and Standards team since 2012. Sarah has led on major policy reviews for the University such as Extenuating Circumstances and has responsibility for writing and revising new and amended legislation. Sarah is an experienced case handler, with expertise in the management of complex student cases across the range of dispute resolution processes (e.g. academic appeals, complaints and mediation).
As Acting Head of Academic Policy and Standards Sarah is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the University’s academic Regulations, Codes of Practice and associated guidance and policy documents in line with national benchmarks such as the UK Quality Code. In addition Sarah oversees the management of student dispute resolution processes and is the University point of contact for the Office of the Independent Adjudicator. Sarah is a member of Academic Policy and Regulations Committee.
