Louisa joined the NIHR Horizon Scanning Research & Intelligence Centre, formerly the NIHR Horizon Scanning Centre, in October 2011 and is the network co-ordinator for Euroscan – the International Information Network on New and Emerging Health Technologies, a collaborative network of member agencies for the exchange of information on important emerging new drugs, devices, procedures, programmes, and settings in health care.

Biography

Louisa graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2011, with a 1st class honours degree in Medical Science. She joined the NIHR HSRIC in October 2011 as an analyst in the drugs team and later worked in the MedTech team as a senior analyst. The NIHR HSRIC provides early warning to the Department of Health of new and emerging health technologies that may require evaluation, consideration of clinical and cost impact, or modification of clinical guidance prior to launch on the NHS. Louisa now works as the network co-ordinator for Euroscan – the International Information Network on New and Emerging Health Technologies. EuroScan is a collaborative network of member agencies for the exchange of information on important emerging new drugs, devices, procedures, programmes, and settings in health care.
