I have worked at the University of Birmingham since 2000. I have been involved in various Presessional and Insessional programmes. Most recently, I have had coordination responsibilities for the summer Presessional programmes.

  • BA (Hons) Social Science (Economics & History)
  • TEFLQ teaching status
  • RSA CTEFLA

Biography

I have over 20 years English language teaching experience, working in a wide variety of contexts, including private language schools in the UK and abroad, further education institutions, and many years of EAP here at the University of Birmingham.

During my time at UoB, I have designed, coordiatated, and taught on a wide range of insessional, Presessional, foundation, and Teacher-training programmes.

Academic interests

My main teaching-related interests include materials writing for EAP courses, syllabus design, and ensuring that students are adequately prepared before, and supported during, their academic programme.
