Georgios joined the School in July 2010, after completing his PhD in Economics at Birkbeck, University of London. His main research interests are in the areas of Political Economics and International Industrial Economics. He will contribute to the SERVICEGAP < http://www.servicegap.org > project which considers the academic and policy concerns that arise from the increasing importance of the market service sector.
Georgios’s doctoral dissertation involved conducting applied econometric analysis using cross-country panel data to examine the political influences on economic policies and outcomes. During his doctoral training, he also served as a teaching fellow and teaching assistant in several undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervised dissertation projects and ran training courses in econometric analysis.
