Linda has three main areas of research interest:

Reshoring: Linda is currently a co-investigator with Dr Pamela Robinson (PI) on a British Academy/Leverhulme funded project entitled “Sustainable Reshoring in High-end Fashion Clothing”.

Internationalization of SMEs: From 2010 to 2012, Linda led a British Academy funded research project, focusing on the ties that UK and Taiwanese SMEs have with external networks and the contribution these make to opening new international markets. She has been involved in a seven-nation project (SINET), coordinated by Professor John Child. The project investigates the internationalization of SMEs, with particular reference to decision-making modes, sources of information and other support, and use of networks.

International strategic alliances: Post-formation dynamics in international strategic alliances, with particular reference to renegotiation, adaptation and change of governance/control in the post-formation period.
