Michelle has worked as a part time visiting lecturer at the Business School for 4 years and is a former Birmingham MSc Marketing student. She is an experienced commercial marketeer having spent the first 10 years of her career working 'client side' alongside some of the largest and well known Marketing & PR agencies in London.
She won the award for 'Best Promotions in Europe' from theProfessional Tennis Tour for her work in changing the spectatorexperience and perception of British Tennis events leading to a changein TV format for the Davis Cup. She was invited to join the NIKEguerilla marketing think tank and managed mainstream sponsorshipaccounts including Warner, Cartoon Network, Pizza Hut, Yoplait andSamsung electronic.
In 2004, she moved to Birmingham to launch NXO StrategicMarketing to service the ever growing SME market. The agency developeda groundbreaking centralised creative hub and bulk buying capacityenabling growth to 16 offices nationwide in four years. The agencybecame famous for using cutting edge approaches to online PR, goodcreative, advertising and design.
She sold her stake to establish a portfolio of businessinterests in 2008 including a Social Media platform for teenagers andCitydesk a communications agency for the sports sector focused onsecuring opportunities arising in sport on the run up to Olympics in2012.
