Lucinda Billingham is Professor of Biostatistics within the School of Cancer Sciences and the School of Health and Population Sciences at the University of Birmingham. She is Biostatistics Lead and Assistant Director at the Cancer Research UK Clinical Trials Unit at Birmingham which runs an extensive portfolio of phase I to III clinical trials. She is also the Director of the MRC Midland Hub for Trials Methodology Research, one of a national network of seven Hubs in the UK funded by the Medical Research Council.
Lucinda has a special interest in lung cancer and sarcoma and leads the portfolio of research in these disease areas with the Trials Unit. As well as her PhD research on statistical methods for the simultaneous analysis of quality of life and survival data, other key areas of expertise include randomised phase II trials, evaluation of predictive biomarkers and application of Bayesian methods in clinical trials.
