Julie is an Assistant Professor in Clinical Pharmacy.

She currently co-leads the first year MPharm Applied Pharmacy Practice module.

Biography

Julie is a registered pharmacist, graduating from Aston University. She obtained a PhD in medicinal chemistry, synthesising and testing potential anti-cancer agents using robotics and combinatorial techniques. Julie trained as a community pharmacist and went on to gain a wide range of experience in the secondary care where she specialised in gene therapy, clinical trials and quality assurance.  Julie joined the School of Pharmacy at the University of Birmingham in 2014. She has managed a portfolio of eLearning modules focussing on prescribing and therapeutics for healthcare professionals and now teaches on undergraduate MPharm programme.
