I have been teaching German at Birmingham University since 2008, previously holding German language posts at Warwick University, Coventry University and Leicester/DeMontfort University. I was born in Kiel, Schleswig Holstein and studied history and English at Hannover University and later undertook Loughborough University’s TESOL programme and an MA in Applied Linguistics at Leicester University.
I teach on a comprehensive range of German modules, covering academic and Open Access courses. Previously I have been teaching on various academic programmes, covering a diverse range of groups, and in-house training in industry.
Since 2010 I am the coordinator for the German language Open Access programme.
