Neil Hinton is a part time clinical practice demonstrator mainly working on 5E with a third and fourth dental undergraduate year group. He currently works all day Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays. When not at the hospital he is employed by Worcestershire PCT working 2 days a week at Worcester DAC and a prison in Redittch. Providing dental services available on the NHS.
After finishing A levels Neil attended Portsmouth Polytechnic and read Biology. On graduation he joined the Royal Navy as a Seaman Officer. Eventually specialising in mine warfare he was the operations officer on HMS Cattistock during the first Gulf war. After completing his short career commission he read Dentistry at Birmingham University.
Upon completion he did VT training in Stoke on Trent and remained as an associate. After a spell in various associate positions he joined the salaried dental service in Somerset then later in Worcestershire where he still works two days a week.
He became a part time clinical demonstrator on clinical practice in 2007 first one day a week then in 2009 three days a week.
