About

Michael joined the Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues in 2012 after having attained his BA in Philosophy. He is a Research Associate for the centre’s team who have a central interest in the role of virtue within the contemporary education system and the potential the subject has to assist future generations in living successful and fulfilled lives, both within and outside the education system. The notions of gratitude as well as giving back to individuals and communities alike are a significant focus of the centre’s research under the premise that it is through living these ideas that we shall live happier, more enriched lives.

Biography

Michael’s background is in Philosophy in which he had a strong interest in the philosophies of: religion, science, societal development, complete theories of knowledge and ethically-related modules. His current focus is now primarily on the influence of teaching on the subject of virtue in modern schools.
