Dr Tracey Valler is a senior lecturer in Child Health within the Institute of Clinical Sciences. She has a keen interest in teaching clinical skills and simulation.

Biography

Dr Tracey Valler qualified as a nurse in Adult Health in 1987 and worked in the Worcester Acute Trust. She gained her Intensive Care for Adults in 1991 and then joined the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Birmingham Children’s Hospital in 1992. Whilst there she studied for and gained a BSc in Clinical Nursing and her RN in Child Health. In 2000 she entered Higher Education and has taught on a variety of undergraduate and post graduate courses within nursing, paramedics, medicine and sports therapy. She joined the University of Birmingham in Sept 2013 and completed her doctorate in Education in 2021.

Working within the Wellcome Trust within the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
