Lakhbinder Jhass has joined the department of Health and Population Sciences in October 2010 as a Senior Clinical Tutor. He is module lead for Community Based Medicine for Year 3 and Year 4 undergraduate medical students.
Lakhbinder is also a General Practitioner working in South Birmingham.
Lakhbinder qualified as a doctor in 1991 after studying at the University of Southampton. He worked in Telford and Stafford hospitals as a junior doctor and completed his training as a General Practitioner in 1996.He worked as a locum before becoming a full time Partner in 1999 at Greenridge Surgery.
He became involved in the teaching of medical students at the Practice and in October 2010 was appointed as a Senior Clinical Tutor at the University of Birmingham.
