Joanna joined the NIHR Horizon Scanning Centre in 2007 and is a senior analyst with a particular interest in medical devices.
She currently leads engagement with the medical device industry to identify significant technologies likely to have an impact on the NHS in the next few years.
In addition, Joanna undertook a project looking at new point of care tests for sexually transmitted infections. The project was presented at HTAi Dublin in 2010. An article focusing on Chlamydia testing was published in 2011.
Joanna has also presented a project on developing evaluation criteria to assess the value of identification sources for horizon scanning at HTAi Singapore (2009). The project was published in the International Journal of Technology Assessment in Health Care in 2010.
