Dr Sara Trevitt works as a Clinical Trial Coordinator at the Cancer Research UK Clinical Trials Unit (CRCTU).

She is a member of the CRCTU’s D3B Team, which is based in the Institute of Translational Medicine at the University of Birmingham. Sara also holds an honorary research contract with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

Biography

Dr Sara Trevitt joined the Cancer Research UK Clinical Trials Unit (CRCTU) in April 2017, working as a Clinical Trial Coordinator.

Prior to that she worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for over 12 years in the University of Birmingham’s Institute of Applied Health Research. In this role she was a Senior Analyst at the NIHR Horizon Scanning Research & Intelligence Centre, and was lead author on 48 reports on new innovations in medical technology.   

Sara has also worked in research management at the Medical Research Council (MRC) Head Office in London, as well as in academic publishing (Cambridge University Press and Wiley-Blackwell Publications), and in a senior executive role with an international development agency.
