Health Economics, Mathematical model, Clinical Trials, Systematic Review, Health Research, Diagnostic study.

RESEARCH ACTIVITY

Shihua Zhu has taken on the role of research fellow in health economics and mathematical modelling at Richard Team, School of Heath and Population Sciences. He has been involved in economic or statistical analyses in several HTA, NIHR and EPSRC projects including ORBIT study; MATCH, CLAHRC BBC; SIGGAR and PDREHA trials

He took part in a bid for External Assessment Centre (EAC) to support the evaluation pathway for medical technologies and related NICE technology evaluation programmes (NICE programme) and the application was successful. He also is co –investigator in collaboration with University of Edinburgh for investigating the implementation, adoption and effectiveness of ePrescribing computerised decision support systems in hospitals in England: a mixed methods evaluation (NIHR programme) and the application has been successful. Finally, he was co-investigator of economic analysis part in SIGGAR trial.

Other activities

Founding:

  • Co-investigator, 2010-2011, Economic analysis alongside SIGGAR trial, HTA
  • Co-investigator 2011-2016, Investigating the implementation, adoption and effectiveness of ePrescribing systems in hospitals: a mixed methods national evaluation, NIHR in process
