Biography

Halima received her MBBS degree from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology 2008. She then went on to complete an Msc in sexual and reproductive health at the University of Warwick in 2010. After her MSc, she worked as a research assistant at the University of Birmingham during which she developed more interest in primary care research. In 2011, Halima commenced her PhD in Primary care at the University of Birmingham. Her research focuses on the Post-thrombotic syndrome. She is currently working on identifying the factors that are associated with developing post-thrombotic syndrome after a patient has suffered a deep vein thrombosis of the lower limb.
