I am a Teaching Fellow at the Ironbridge Institute, with a research interest in museum audiences, the social impacts of museum visiting and museum geographies.

Before joining the Institute I worked at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) on the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games Legacy Programme and Meta-Evaluation. I have a background of working in the museum sector and before starting my PhD I worked in the Paintings, Drawings and Prints department of the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge.
My PhD research focused on examining the geography of school visits to museums using the deprivation rankings and socio-economic contexts of schools that visited Renaissance in the Regions hubs and hub partners, and museums participating in the DCMS/DfES Strategic Commissioning programme. A high percentage of these visits came from schools in some of the most deprived areas of the country. My research focused on exploring this geography of school visits and considering the impacts of school visits on social inclusion.
