About

Madeleine is a veterinary surgeon who is a specialist in Equine Reproduction, and the Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Fellow at the Royal Veterinary College. She is currently researching the ethics of assisted reproductive techniques in non-human mammals, and one of her Supervisors is Professor Marie Fox.

Biography

Madeleine’s research interests are in the ethics of assisted reproductive technologies in non-human mammals and the ethics of the use of animals in sport. Madeleine was a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeon’s working group which recently undertook an ethical review of practice-based research, is Chair of the British Veterinary Association’s Ethics and Welfare Group, and is a Past-President of the British Equine Veterinary Association.
