About

Jackie did an undergraduate degree in botany and microbiology. She is a Fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and worked for 10 years as an accountant and business manager in the public and private

sectors before joining the University as a Divisional Manager in Immunity and Infection in 1999. She has a particular interest in research administration and has facilitated multi component grant applications such as the MRC Centre for Immune Regulation. She has also been involved with two RAE submissions. She is active member of the College’s new initiative to support post doctoral career development. She recently took up the position of Senior Research Facilitator which will allow her more time to provide focused research support for the School of Immunity and Infection.

Biography

Administrator/manager/accountant with over 20 years experience of managing the business and administrative requirements of small operating units and large projects including the appointment and management of staff, costing and budget management and the development of data and systems to support strategic investment decisions. Over last 12 years has become more specialised in providing senior research support. As a Fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants with  10 years as an accountant in the public and private sectors has a developed particular interest and skill in managing the budgets of individual research projects.
