Khalid A. Al-Ghamdi is an Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering at King Abdulaziz University and an Honarary Research Fellow in the School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Birmingham.

Biography

Khalid A. Al-Ghamdi qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Industrial Engineering from King Abdulaziz University in 2000. He worked for the Saudi Airlines during the period 2000-2002. He was awarded a scholarship to pursue his postgraduate studies from King Abdulaziz University in 2003. In 2004, he joined the University of Birmingham where he earned an MSc in Operations Management (2005) and a PhD in Optimization in Experimental Design (2011). He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and his research interests include Design of Experiments, Quality Engineering and Operations Research.
