Mohammad Esgandari is a Ph.D researcher in the area of vehicle disk brake noise, with a focus on brake squeal. His research is in collaboration with Jaguar-Land Rover (JLR). He has been working on disk brakes since June 2010 as an internship in Jaguar – Land Rover and then as his M.Eng Final Year Project.
Mohammad is a specialized Mechanical Engineer in the field of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), with expertise in Finite Element (FE) packages and Computer Aided Design/Manufacturing (CAD/CAM). He is an expert user of various software in his field, e.g. Abaqus, HyperMesh, ANSYS, CATIA, SolidWorks, Magma, CopyCAD, PowerSHAPE, PoweMILL, etc.
He also has an experience of working on bipedal robots design and prototyping, with a familiarity with PIC microcontrollers and BASCOM-AVR and CodeVisionAVR programmers. Mohammad is also familiar with CNC manufacturing (G-Code).

Mohammad Esgandari graduated from Rouzbeh High-school, a highly reputable institution in Iran (2006). He then started his graduate studies in a collaboration programme between the University of Birmingham and Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), graduated with M.Eng honours degree from The University of Birmingham (2011). He is currently doing doctoral research as a Ph.D student in The University of Birmingham, sponsored by Jaguar–Land Rover.
